Over 23 years ago, I discovered the transformative power of yoga, meditation, and the therapeutic intelligence of sound and silence. These practices became my first doorway into understanding how the nervous system heals, how the body stores emotional weight, and how we reconnect with ourselves on our emotional healing journeys.
Since then, I’ve shared these tools in diverse settings — with military personnel, in hospitals and psychiatric programs, in school enrichment workshops, and in communities seeking grounding and relief.
Anyone embarking on a healing journey knows this: emotional pain is shaped by both personal experience and the environments we navigate. In the late 1990s, while serving in the Air Force Security Forces, I carried heavy burdens — physically and emotionally.
Working alongside first responders, security personnel, and veterans taught me the strength of shared struggle… but it also revealed a hard biological and psychological reality: repeating and reliving past pain does not create healing. “Struggle Well” continues to struggle and reinforces neural pathways that keep people stuck.
As I transitioned into therapeutic roles in military and forensic settings, I witnessed the profound impact of unresolved emotions — how they influence behavior, identity, and the ability to feel safe. But it wasn’t until a loved one experienced a sudden psychotic break that I fully understood the depth and complexity of emotional suffering.
In that moment, every part of my background — yoga, meditation, trauma-informed practice, psychology, nervous-system work — rose to the surface. I used everything I knew to support them. And when every tool I had reached its limit, something in me shifted.
The urgency to find real solutions — solutions that worked at the level where pain actually lives — became non-negotiable.
That search led me to my mentor, a retired psychotherapist with more than 50 years of experience in psychiatric settings. He pointed me toward the one method he had seen consistently create remarkable, lasting change: the Mace Energy Method.
Guided by his mentorship, my academic training, and my commitment to solutions-based healing, I arrived at the Caussin Institute and began my journey as a Mace Energy Method Practitioner.
In a humbling and deeply ironic way, my loved one’s crisis revealed my life’s purpose. For that, I am profoundly grateful.
Most people have been on a healing journey for years — sometimes decades — and they’re exhausted.
The Mace Energy Method is not just another chapter in that journey. It is the pivot point. The fork in the road. The moment the healing loop ends… and the Real Self Journey begins.
I look forward to sharing this transformative method with you.
